Provide day-to-day advice and counseling on a diverse array of employment issues arising primarily from EMEA and APAC, working in coordination with the Labor & Employment Legal Team, HR, and other internal teams. This includes drafting, negotiating, and interpreting employment agreements and separation agreements; advising on HR policies; and supporting benefits and compensation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day employment law advice and counseling for EMEA and APAC regions, coordinating with the Labor & Employment Legal Team, HR, and internal stakeholders.
  • Draft, negotiate, and interpret employment agreements, separation agreements, and related documents.
  • Advise on and assist in implementing HR policies.
  • Draft, negotiate, and interpret benefits and compensation programs and plans.
  • Advise on labor issues, disputes, and sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Provide employment law support for M&A matters; assist the compliance team with HR-related investigations and compliance matters.
  • Manage all aspects of dispute resolution primarily related to EMEA and APAC in coordination with a global legal team.
  • Advise and coordinate with internal clients on litigation and business resolution strategies; manage pre-litigation processes including document holds and discovery; review filings, correspondence, and other materials; advise on trial and/or settlement strategies; collaborate with and manage outside counsel.
  • Support continuous improvement of standard forms and development of policies and procedures for the Legal Department.

What You’ll Need

  • Qualified lawyer in one or more EMEA jurisdictions where we operate (preferably the Netherlands, UK, Germany, or France).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification litigation and employment counseling experience, including a mix of internationally recognized law firm and/or in-house experience.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiating, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to identify and research legal risks and effectively counsel clients.
  • Flexible team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Self-motivated, independent, and able to prioritize time-sensitive projects.
  • Ability to develop and implement processes for the Legal Department.
  • Ability to come into the office as required in a 2-3 day in-office hybrid schedule.
