Your role
- Regional & SubRegional Leadership
- Lead and oversee sub regional Operations project teams across EMEA, including Africa.
- Set clear regional direction, standards, and priorities while enabling effective local execution.
- Act as senior escalation point for high risk or operationally sensitive projects.
- Maximise project management efficiency using available systems and technologies.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
- Conduct health checks on programmes or projects as required.
- Capital & Energy Project Delivery (Live Sites)
- Deliver the EMEA internal CapEx portfolio, including lifecycle replacement, resilience upgrades, capacity optimisation, regulatory works, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, within approved budgets, and without impact to live operations or customer availability.
- Drive standardisation and best practice in live site project delivery across the region.
- Energy Efficiency
- Lead energy efficiency and sustainability driven capital projects in partnership with Operations, Engineering, and Sustainability teams.
- Ensure robust commissioning, measurement, and validation of energy outcomes.
- Embed energy efficiency considerations into all relevant capital planning.
- Investment Governance & Financial Management
- Work closely with Portfolio Management and Finance to develop business cases and support project approval and investment governance.
- Own regional CapEx planning, forecasting, budget control, and variance management.
- Ensure consistent financial governance and reporting across subregions.
- Operational Risk, Change & Safety
- Embed strong operational risk management, change control, commissioning, and handover disciplines.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all EHS, CDM (where applicable), and local regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Operations leadership on outages, maintenance windows, and risk mitigation.
- People & Capability
- Develop and mentor subregional Operations project leaders and teams.
- Build succession and capability across the EMEA Operations projects organisation.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll need
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a role as a Project Manager in technical / data center environments, ideally in a management role.
- Educated to a technical degree at Bachelor or equivalent.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects, preferably in technical/data center environments.
- Good overall knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial or Data Center setting.
- Relevant Project Management certifications are required.
- Proven track record of high-quality Project Management Skills.
- Managing "operational" staff: defining work plans, outcomes, supervising quality execution (Expert, 3+ years).
- Electrical and/or mechanical and infrastructure knowledge on high-available data center or other industry architectures.
- Skilled in supplier management in connection with expansion projects (Skilled).
- Skilled in large-scale technical infrastructure systems, preferably in Data Center technology (Skilled).
