Why Join Us?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a Proptech business entering a significant long-term project across Scotland.

You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality digital survey data for a major programme of work while using industry-leading reality capture technology.

You’ll enjoy a high level of autonomy, work with cutting-edge equipment, and be part of a collaborative team that's redefining how buildings are captured and digitised.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Digital Surveyor based in Scotland (preferably Glasgow) to support a major long-term project spanning approximately three years.

The role involves capturing highly accurate spatial data of properties using industry-leading hardware and proprietary software.

In addition to fieldwork, you will process survey data and produce detailed Stak Verified measured survey floorplans.

This is a hybrid role, with extensive travel to sites across Scotland.

When you are not on site, you will work remotely from home processing survey data and producing project deliverables.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, managing their own schedule, and travelling extensively.

Weekly travel across Scotland will be a core part of the role, with occasional overnight stays depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture accurate spatial data of properties using Leica laser scanning equipment, including BLK2GO, BLK360 and RTC.
  • Carry out measured building surveys independently, ensuring accuracy, completeness and efficiency.
  • Complete Ground Control Point (GCP) and geo-referenced surveys where required.
  • Process raw survey data into usable digital formats using industry-standard software.
  • Produce accurate measured survey floorplans using proprietary software, Adobe Creative Suite and other tools.
  • Complete post-processing and deliverable production remotely when not undertaking fieldwork.
  • Travel extensively throughout Scotland, often on a weekly basis, with occasional overnight stays as required by project needs.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and project teams throughout the survey process.
  • Represent the DRC brand positively during all client interactions.
  • Maintain survey equipment and ensure all hardware is used, transported and stored safely.
  • Keep up to date with developments in digital surveying technology and contribute to continuous improvement of survey workflows.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in land or measured building surveying, with a focus on as-built measured surveys.
  • Proficiency using Leica laser scanners, including BLK2GO, BLK360 and RTC models.
  • Experience processing survey data using software such as Cyclone.
  • Experience producing 2D measured floorplans in line with the RICS Code of Measuring Practice.
  • Experience carrying out Ground Control Point (GCP) and geo-referenced surveys is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator) for floorplan production and annotation.
  • Comfortable learning and adapting to new technologies, software and workflows.
  • Highly organised and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively across Scotland every week, with flexibility for overnight stays when required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, spatial awareness and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Working hours are 9:00am–6:00pm. When not on site, you will work remotely, completing data processing and project deliverables from home.
