Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Graphic Artist to create compelling visuals that communicate complex technical concepts. This role supports a variety of high-impact projects, producing presentations, illustrations, and digital content for both expert and general audiences. The ideal candidate combines creative design skills with strong technical understanding and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and secure environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and produce digital graphics, technical illustrations, presentations (PowerPoint), interactive posters, logos, and promotional materials.
- Translate conceptual ideas, sketches, and informal notes into polished visual assets.
- Integrate diverse content into cohesive designs, maintaining a professional and consistent look and feel.
- Apply principles of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling to enhance audience understanding.
- Maintain and organize digital libraries, visual assets, and internal repositories.
- Ensure all materials align with style guides, branding standards, and clearance protocols.
- Proofread all deliverables for accuracy in spelling, grammar, and formatting.
- Support content management by establishing and maintaining design protocols.
- Engage with technical staff and leadership to identify project requirements and deadlines.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate graphic support for meetings, including managing SharePoint folders and facilitating material collection.
- Work collaboratively with other creatives and cross-functional teams across the organization.
- Continuously explore new methods, tools, and styles to improve creative output.
- Recommend enhancements to visual workflows and resources as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Illustration, or a related discipline—or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in visual or graphic design, preferably within a technical, scientific, or government-related environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
- Experience working in both Windows and Mac environments.
- Strong conceptual and layout design skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.

- Candidates must be a United States Citizen.
