The Library of LSE is a National Research Library, supporting the research and teaching of LSE as well as social science research beyond the School. The Library is heavily involved in delivering LSE’s new research strategy, Research for the World, including championing open research practices in the social sciences.
The Research Data Librarian sits within the Research Support team and is jointly responsible for planning, developing, and delivering research data management services for researchers, staff and students across LSE. This includes data management planning, support for secure data, support for open data, and the curation, sharing and preservation of research data.
You will have good knowledge of research data management principles and practices and be able to communicate this knowledge effectively to colleagues at all levels of seniority. You will be able to work effectively with others in the team and in cross-institutional working groups, developing and leading services in research data management.
