Historic Environment Scotland | Àrainneachd Eachdraidheil Alba is migrating hundreds of thousands of learning, educational, and cultural resources from our Scran technology platform to our main Archive management system and digital repository. This is a generational shift in how we manage these digital objects and will safeguard the material from over 200 collections across the country for the future.
The Archivist will support the work of the HES Archives Digital Repository, which includes:
- Assisting with the transfer, accessioning, appraisal, and cataloguing of born-digital and digitised archive material
- Contributing to internal digital preservation research and development
- Supporting the coordination of external digitisation projects
