The British Library Qatar Foundation Partnership Programme are looking for a passionate, analytical and experienced Imaging and Digital Products Manager to join our team. The Programme team includes Cataloguers, Translators, Conservators, Rights, Workflow and Imaging experts. Together we digitise British Library holdings related to Qatar and the region, and produce contextual content published on the Qatar Digital Library in both English and Arabic and delivered to British Library preservation systems.
The post will be responsible for the operational management of our imaging studio and management of six imaging team members, producing TIFF, JP2 and ALTO files, associated metadata and Submission Information Packages.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Manage and lead our team of six imaging professionals. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members; foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Imaging Operations: Ensure the production of high-quality images meeting British Library and Programme targets; oversee the purchase, maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment; implement and maintain best practice.
- Project Management: Coordinate work streams within the imaging team, including scheduling and resource allocation; collaborate with other teams on the Programme to provide management information, imaging support and error resolution.
