Are you passionate about bringing art to everyone? Do you believe in the power of digital to engage people with the arts? We are looking for an enthusiastic Digital Platforms Officer to join our friendly and dedicated team.
We welcome and encourage applications from candidates who are under‐represented in the creative industries, particularly individuals who experience physical, mental or social barriers to accessing the arts.
As the Digital Platforms Officer you will play a key role within Art UK's Digital Infrastructure team by supporting the team as we embark on an ambitious programme of work to transform how the UK's public art can be made available for reuse through Open Access. A key aspect of this programme will be the specification of a new Digital Asset Management system to underpin this offer, as well as the continuous improvement of our website and associated platforms – both to provide better access to images and to improve the overall functionality and user experience.
You will have a good general understanding or experience of the software requirements elicitation process and be able to work closely with colleagues and users to identify key requirements for procuring a new or enhancing an existing product. Ideally, you should also have a good general understanding of the essential principles of Digital Asset Management or be comfortable to learn these as part of the role.
Working closely with colleagues, technology partners and suppliers, you will make a substantial contribution to the wider development and growth of Art UK and develop experience in the technical development and management of a major arts platform. Your commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion aligns with our organisational values, and you are passionate about contributing to a positive workplace culture.
