We are looking for an individual who is ready to deliver exceptional senior management and technical leadership as the new Head of / Assistant Director for our Digital Library Team.
The Opportunity
As the Head of the Team, you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the digital services and projects delivered by our Digital Library Team to the University of Edinburgh, a large, multi-disciplinary institution currently ranked 16th in the QS World Rankings. You will be a member of our Directorate Senior Management Team and will work for an organization that boasts rich collections both in print and online and provides an environment for experimentation and innovation. You will be the technical lead for Library & University Collections when planning and delivering future digital strategy and developing joint projects with other areas of the Information Services Group, the University, and external partners.
Your skills and attributes for success
- You will have an honours degree in an appropriate discipline and a recognised professional qualification or registration in a relevant branch of librarianship, information management, or an equivalent area.
- You will be a highly experienced information professional, skilled in digital library developments, with experience in leading, developing, and motivating professional staff.
- You will also have demonstrable experience of creating innovative solutions and services and contributing towards the development and delivery of strategy and planning.
