The Role
To act as the IT technical lead for our sales and account management team. This role is pivotal in buildingtechnical reassurance with clients, crafting future-proof roadmaps, and providing innovative points of differencein pitches for both existing clients and new business opportunities.
As a trusted partner to the sales team, you will leverage your expertise to bridge the gap between technicalsolutions and client needs, ensuring our offerings are both cutting-edge and aligned with client objectives. Main Duties
Client Engagement & Technical Leadership
- Act as the technical lead in client meetings, providing reassurance and articulating clear roadmaps for their IT journeys.
- Work with the sales team to design innovative, differentiated solutions that address client challenges and objectives.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, establishing technical credibility and demonstrating our expertise as a key USP.
- Craft solutions that focus on the migration from on-premises to cloud environments, with a deep understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Azure, M365 and its associated services.
- Integrate security solutions, including best-of-breed firewalls, EDR, MDR, SIEM and SOC solutions.
- Provide detailed topology mapping for all client engagements, ensuring clarity and precision in solution design.
Internal Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Brief internal teams, including implementation and support teams, to ensure seamless delivery of technical solutions.
- Stay ahead of industry trends by engaging with technical vendors and continuously enhancing your knowledge of innovative technologies.
- Act as a resource for internal training, sharing knowledge, and mentoring colleagues on new technologies and solutions.
- Support the sales team by providing technical expertise during pitches, proposals, and presentations.
- Create compelling technical narratives and roadmaps to secure both new logo business and strengthen existing client relationships.
- Collaborate with other departments to align technical proposals with operational capabilities and business objectives.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in Microsoft technologies, particularly Azure, M365 and its ecosystem.
- Extensive experience designing solutions for the journey from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments.
- Knowledge of security solutions, including on premise and cloud based firewalls, EDR, MDR, SIEM and SOC solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to build trust with clients and support sales teams in winning business.
- A proactive approach to staying at the forefront of IT trends and emerging technologies.
- Experience working in a pre-sales or client-facing technical role within the IT services or MSP industry.
- Familiarity with vendor engagement and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of key technologies.
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure or security-related disciplines (e.g., CISSP, CCSP).
