The role of Account Director is a senior position in our Account Management team. You will work alongside other members of the team on a range of projects and client accounts within our portfolio. In this role, you will take ownership of key client accounts, managing projects end-to-end — from briefing, budgeting and scoping through to delivery and reporting. You will be responsible for growing accounts, identifying new opportunities and driving revenue through proactive relationship development and strategic thinking.
Acting as the bridge between departments and between the agency and our clients, you will help shape strategic plans, coordinate internal resources and ensure projects are delivered on time, on brief and within budget. You will also line manage 2–3 members of the Account Management team, overseeing their work while supporting their development through coaching, guidance and training. This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact. You will lead across your accounts as the primary client contact and relationship owner, bringing a strong understanding of wider marketing approaches and Digital Natives’ services to every conversation. Your role is to understand what drives your clients’ businesses, provide strategic value, solve challenges and unlock growth opportunities.
As a varied, cross-departmental role, this position requires a solid understanding of social media marketing and how modern businesses operate. Travel is occasionally required for client visits, new business presentations, planning, brief taking, or attending shoots. We have a flexible hybrid working policy, with time spent in the office (Tues-Thurs) or working from home (Mon & Fri).
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manage client accounts end-to-end, from briefing and budgeting through to delivery and reporting
- Grow existing accounts by identifying opportunities and supporting new business efforts
- Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted partner and primary contact
- Lead client communications, briefings and meetings, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded
- Scope new projects, building timelines and plans that are achievable and commercially sound
- Coordinate with creative, strategy and production teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Drive projects forward while maintaining high standards of quality and best practice
- Monitor budgets, profitability and account performance, providing regular finance updates
- Develop project budgets and support strong commercial performance
- Manage and support junior team members, overseeing delivery and development
- Shape and refine client briefs to ensure work delivers strategic value
- Maintain a strong understanding of marketing, social media and industry trends
Your Background:
- 4+ years experience in a client facing role, preferably within an agency environment
- Prior experience in social media, marketing, and/or digital whether that’s an internship or work experience in an agency or other business
- A keen interest in social media, marketing, and understanding of digital and social platforms
- A proactive approach and excellent organisational skills in managing projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage a number of projects simultaneously
- Effective team player
- A keen attention to detail
- Desire to work in a fast paced environment
