The Director of Technology is a new role within DMS. This is both a technical and strategic role that will influence how we operate, innovate and deliver value to our clients, putting DMS at the forefront of our sector, and beyond. You will lead the strategic planning, development and implementation of the agency’s 3-year Technology Transformation Strategy, to deliver impactful, innovative and scalable technology solutions. You will be responsible for technical requirements of the agency across all departments and offices of DMS. As a member of the DMS SLT, you will ensure that the technology strategy and initiatives support and align with the overall business strategy, and work in partnership with the other SLT members and HODs to achieve this.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy & Innovation: Develop, execute and maintain a comprehensive 3-year Technology Transformation Strategy and accompanying roadmap to support the agency’s business objectives by translating business needs into technical solutions. Ongoing awareness, understanding and evaluation of existing workflows (administrative, commercial and operational) and our proprietary platforms, and how these can be optimised/evolved/replaced with the latest methodologies, emerging automation technologies, and industry-leading practices to deliver tangible business value and distinctive competitive advantage. Develop a robust data architecture for the operational aspect of the business to enhance our organisational intelligence and enable advanced analytics, actionable insights and real-time reporting and responses for both internal business and external client decision-making.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Be the voice of Technology for DMS, both internally and externally. Create a culture of collaboration between all departments, integrating holistic tech solutions and benefits. Lead and manage the technology team, creating a structure and function that reflects and meets the changing needs of the agency.
- Budget and Supplier Management: Build and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and optimal resource allocation based on business needs, ensuring efficient resource allocation to achieve optimal value and impact. Effectively manage all tenders, service level agreements and relationships with external service providers, leveraging industry best practices to enhance service delivery.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that all technology practices are compliant with relevant legal regulations and IEH Group and Industry security policies/standards. Implement, monitor and evaluate all relevant working practices, policies and supporting documentation.
