Senior Marketing Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage and Train Marketing Exec: Soon to be promoted to Marketing Manager, they are seeking someone with experience of training junior marketers to be consistent high performers. You will build, run and follow up on training in all aspects of event marketing and will coach staff to be confident contributors to our results and mission.
  • Hands On Campaign Planning & Execution: You will establish and execute smart integrated marketing campaigns across all key marketing channels (email, web, social, digital) to drive leads and revenue across the product portfolio including our Membership Network, Live Events, Digital Products and Podcast. Your analytical skills and smart assessment skills are what they need, along with the ability to get great results for in house data and partners.
  • Budget Management: You will manage marketing budgets for each product, monitoring the effectiveness of all activity and making timely adjustments to maximise ROI. Also important will be your contribution to accurate cash flow management in the business.
  • Data Management & Lead Generation: An expert Hubspot user, you will continue to build highly leads in our database through partnerships and sourcing. They are looking for someone who will quickly learn our systems and who can create optimal databases for success. Ideally, you will have excellent experience of negotiating with CRM and other solution providers.
  • Analysis & Measuring Success: An essential trait will be your ability to track and analyse marketing performance, ensuring that we respond day-to-day and over the course of campaigns to ensure all of our efforts and spend have the best impact. You are a revenue driver and your analysis must drive not only attendance but revenue. You will make marketing activity and results visible for the whole team and drive product development in weekly and monthly meetings, along with on a campaign level.
  • Teamwork: You are a great communicator and know how to get results from team members in other functions. They are looking for someone who loves working closely with sales and production in particular, developing leads and defining strategies to support their activities.
  • Website Management & Optimisation: Monitor and continually improve organic and paid search results to increase web traffic, plus overall event site management (content and design). They will be looking to update our website soon and ideally would bring in someone who has worked closely on launch or relaunch of a website.
  • Social Media & Content Strategy: You will manage and refine their social media and content strategy, working closely with an external supplier to maintain customer engagement and growth across LinkedIn.
  • Stakeholder Management: Continually source and maintain positive relationships with partners for innovative ways to increase measurable value for the business including but not limited to; speakers, knowledge partners and media partners.
  • New Product Development: You are someone who is keen to support the management of the product schedule and identify the best way to optimise marketing channels and resources to launch into new areas.
  • Brand Management: Develop and build on the brand principles and act as the brand guardian of both look and feel and tone of voice. Write, edit and proof-read: You will be responsible for our external voice, you will write and/or proof effective sales copy including emails, social media, website and other promotional collateral.
What you will bring:
  • Minimum of 3 years' marketing experience, ideally within events.
  • Well organised with an adaptable process-driven approach and high level of attention to detail.
  • Autonomous and able to take ownership and responsibility, a positive 'can do' attitude and someone who brings solutions vs problems to the table.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – experienced hybrid worker with the ability to build relationships and influence both internally and externally.
  • Entrepreneurial, contributing ideas and not afraid to launch new products. You are someone that watches for outcomes and tries new channels, different messages and alternative ways of working when needed.
  • Experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms, specifically Hubspot.
  • A revenue-focused marketer – you are results-driven with a track record of hitting enquiry and revenue targets and other KPIs.
  • Analytical, data driven and forward-thinking.
