The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation and servicing of all Elekta products within the UK, with a primary focus on MR-Linac systems. This is a home-based role requiring travel throughout the UK as directed by the Regional Service Manager.

What you’ll do at Elekta

  • Join a driven global team in the UK Service Team of ten members.
  • Work with diverse skills including fault finding complex electronic systems down to component level and adjusting the radiation beam to meet required specs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance, emergency corrective maintenance, upgrades, installation work, courtesy calls to local customers, and telephone support from office or remote locations.
  • Work following Elekta’s safety instructions and procedures.
  • Report issues or problems affecting Elekta, product reliability, or personnel safety to the Service Manager promptly.
  • Provide feedback on problems, solutions, or opportunities to the Service Manager for communication to other parties.
  • Perform corrective maintenance independently within timescales, escalating problems if required, maintaining problem ownership until customer satisfaction.
  • Install all systems in the product portfolio to required specifications and project timelines without supervision.

What you bring

  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in a related engineering discipline.
  • Completion of all relevant Elekta technical training up to 3rd line.
  • Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, and networking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in a service environment.
  • Demonstrable drive and commitment to Elekta and tasks in hand.
  • Clean Driving Licence.
