We are seeking a Lead Cloud Security Architect to play a pivotal role in enhancing the security of critical digital services for NHS Wales. As a key member of our team, you will use your expertise to lead complex, high-impact projects, ensuring robust, scalable, and innovative security solutions.
Your Role:
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cloud security architectures across multiple projects.
- Act as the primary security authority, providing strategic security advice to senior stakeholders and mentoring a team of security professionals.
- Drive the development of security strategies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring they align with organisational goals.
- Conduct security assessments, lead risk management activities, and develop mitigation strategies for complex technical challenges.
- Lead the technical design of secure systems, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Stay ahead of emerging security trends, applying your knowledge to improve our security posture.
What You Will Bring:
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- A Master’s degree in an associated professional field (or equivalent qualification/experience).
- Industry-recognised qualification in cloud security architecture.
- Experience in reviewing security configurations within an operational IT service delivery role in a large, complex programme.
- Experience in defining and designing Cyber security requirements for IT systems aligned with organisational objectives.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered IT Professional (CITP) or equivalent professional registration.
- FEDIP Practitioner or equivalent recognised Intermediate Professional qualification.
- Ability to review and evaluate emerging security technologies.
- Strong understanding of human factors in security and their impact on digital adoption.
- Ability to align security initiatives with business goals for measurable improvements.
