We are recruiting an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive individual to join the Corporate Services team as an Estates Officer at our Cardiff office. The successful candidate will be required to work within a busy and varied working environment, assisting the Estates and Compliance Manager to effectively manage the Digital Health and Care Wales estate. While doing so, we will provide you the opportunity to improve your skills by contributing to your Personal Development Plan (PDP). The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work proactively and under own initiative to prioritise and balance a varied workload.
- Effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience of maintaining comprehensive spreadsheets containing complex data.
- Regularly develop and communicate detailed reports informing a range of intricate data.
- Work well under pressure and the ability to work and deliver to deadlines.
- A Full UK Driving Licence is required, as travel to all DHCW sites using the team vehicle will be needed to undertake compliance monitoring, auditing and other ad hoc tasks.
- Organised, methodical, strategic thinker, with excellent IT and writing skills.
Qualifications
- Experience of working within an estates management team.
- Understanding of legislation relating to statutory environment and estates compliance.
- Knowledge of ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- Experience of undertaking building related compliance monitoring.
