About the role
I’m recruiting for a growing, creatively-led B2B agency looking for a commercially minded Account Director to own day-to-day delivery, client relationships and growth across a portfolio of strategic accounts. You’ll lead cross-functional teams to deliver integrated brand, digital and campaign work, drive profitability, mentor junior colleagues and contribute to new business and thought leadership.
What you’ll do
- Lead the day-to-day running of nominated client accounts, ensuring excellent service and on-time delivery.
- Translate client briefs into clear plans, proposals and scoped projects, working with strategy, creative and production teams.
- Own commercial performance: quoting, forecasting, fee targets, margin and billing accuracy.
- Identify and sell-in organic growth opportunities; support pitches and proposal development.
- Mentor and (where relevant) line-manage junior account team members, supporting their development.
- Represent the agency at client meetings and industry events as required.
About you
- 6+ years’ experience in a B2B agency or marketing environment with proven senior account handling.
- Strong commercial awareness: forecasting, quoting, margin management and revenue accountability.
- Excellent stakeholder and project management skills; calm under pressure and highly organised.
- Confident presenter with experience in pitching and new-business activity.
- Experience with agency systems (e.g. Synergist or similar), Teams/SharePoint and CRM/marketing platforms desirable.
- A collaborative, curious mindset who values quality, growth and a bit of fun in the day-to-day.
