We’re recruiting an Engineering Systems Support Engineer to join a Group IT Engineering Systems team within a major manufacturing organisation. This team ensures global engineering functions have reliable, high-performing software tools and platforms to deliver programmes successfully.

In this role, you’ll support, maintain and enhance core engineering applications across the PLM landscape, with a strong focus on Siemens Teamcenter, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement across both project delivery and BAU activity.

You’ll take ownership across key engineering systems, ensuring effective support, issue resolution and ongoing optimisation across a global user base, including:

  • Supporting, configuring and maintaining Teamcenter and related engineering applications
  • Monitoring system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues
  • Performing root-cause analysis and implementing sustainable fixes
  • Supporting system upgrades, patches and enhancements in collaboration with development teams
  • Maintaining data integrity, workflows and user access across engineering systems
  • Supporting infrastructure-related processes (e.g., system monitoring, scheduled jobs, server-related tasks)
  • Gathering user requirements and translating them into system improvements or support solutions
  • Supporting testing, documentation and release processes for system changes
  • Acting as a key point of contact for engineering users, providing guidance and troubleshooting support
  • Collaborating closely with global engineering teams, IT colleagues and third-party vendors

Strong experience supporting Siemens Teamcenter (RAC and/or Active Workspace) is required, along with a background in engineering systems support (PLM / CAD / CAE / manufacturing environments). A solid understanding of application support, system administration, and issue resolution is essential.

Experience working in a user-facing support role within engineering or manufacturing environments is necessary. You should be a confident communicator, able to build trust and support engineering stakeholders globally.

This role suits someone who enjoys being the go-to expert for system support and stability, balancing hands-on system administration with user engagement and continuous improvement. You’ll be proactive, detail-oriented and collaborative, taking real ownership of system performance and user experience while ensuring engineering teams can rely on the tools they use every day.
