We’ve partnered with a Software-Development house, who are currently seeking a Platform Engineer to help evolve and optimise their cloud-native infrastructure as the platform continues to scale. The business has recently completed its migration from on-premise infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform and is now focused on building a modern, scalable, and highly reliable cloud platform. This role sits within the Platform team and will focus on improving infrastructure reliability, automation, and developer enablement. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to build scalable infrastructure, improve operational tooling, and ensure the platform remains secure and resilient.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the platform and supporting infrastructure
  • Continue to automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows using Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Collaborate with development teams to deliver platform tooling that supports product development
  • Build and maintain self-service platform capabilities that enable teams to deploy and operate services independently
  • Maintain high engineering standards through documentation, tooling, and best practices
  • Participate in a paid on-call rotation to support platform reliability and incident response
