Market Segment Manager Complex Disease

Oxford (Hybrid / Flexible) | Global remit – 2 days per month in office.

An innovative, globally recognised life sciences organisation is seeking a Market Segment Manager Complex Disease to join its growing global marketing team. This role offers the opportunity to help shape the adoption of groundbreaking sequencing solutions across the world, supporting researchers who are driving discoveries in the genetics of complex disorders.

The Role

As the Market Segment Manager, youll lead the global marketing strategy for the complex disease segment, from large-scale biobank research to clinical and translational studies. Youll define and execute strategic initiatives to expand market share, strengthen customer engagement, and position this area as a key growth driver for the business.

Youll collaborate closely with commercial, R&D, and marketing teams, as well as global scientific leaders, to develop impactful campaigns and ensure effective sales enablement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver global marketing strategies for the complex disease segment.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with researchers, consortia, and industry partners.
  • Partner with commercial teams to drive revenue growth and train internal teams on market opportunities.
  • Translate technical insights from R&D into clear market positioning and applications.
  • Define key success metrics and measure the effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in genetic epidemiology and complex disease research.

About You

  • Significant experience in genomics or sequencing within a marketing, product management, or commercial role.
  • Deep understanding of complex disease genetics, ideally within neurology, psychiatry, cardiovascular, autoimmune, or metabolic disorders.
  • Proven ability to translate complex science into compelling marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging technical and senior audiences.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 40%).
