We're working with a customer-facing ecommerce/retail business to find a Frontend Developer to join their growing digital team. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' commercial experience who wants to work on high-traffic, customer-facing sites within a fast-paced, agile environment.
The role is remote-first, with just one day a month required in Manchester for team collaboration.
- 1+ years commercial experience
- Strong experience with HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6), React and Next.js, with a focus on responsive, mobile-first development
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, build tools (Webpack, Gulp, linters) and Git
- A commitment to clean, maintainable code, including unit testing with frameworks like Jest
- Comfort working within Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban)
- Bonus: experience with multi-site builds and exposure to the full SDLC
Writing high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code
Contributing to software design — including application architecture, data flows and technical design
Helping define project scope and estimate timescales
Identifying risks, issues and dependencies around testing
Working within an agile delivery framework (Scrum, Kanban, XP)
