Lead Designer – eCommerce

📍 Manchester (Hybrid: 1 day per week in office) | 💼 Permanent | 💷 Competitive Salary

We’re looking for a Lead Designer with a great progression opportunity to Head of Design to lead a small creative team within a fast-paced, data-driven eCommerce agency.

You’ll take ownership of all design delivery across a portfolio of clients, working on everything from high-performing Shopify storefronts to internal brand projects. With a small design team to manage, you’ll shape how design drives results, balancing hands-on design (around 60%) with leadership, mentoring and client-facing work.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading, mentoring and scaling a multidisciplinary design team
• Owning creative direction across client projects & internal brand assets
• Turning CRO insights into high-converting designs across UI and UX
• Guiding clients through discovery, scoping and design strategy conversations

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years in UI/UX design
• Leadership/mentoring experience in either agency or in-house settings
• Strong balance of creative vision, user-first design thinking, and commercial awareness
• Fast-paced mindset – comfortable moving quickly from concepts to delivery
