London (2 days in office) | Full-time | Retail & DSV | Salary: Up to £45k

A long‑established, fast‑growing UK retailer is looking for a Junior Buyer to join its central buying team as it continues to expand its multichannel and dropship (DSV) offering. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Assistant/Junior Buyer or strong Buying Assistant ready for more ownership.

The Opportunity:

  • Support the Buyer with range planning, selection and trading across a high‑volume, fast‑paced category.
  • Help manage a mix of core and seasonal ranges, ensuring the right products, at the right time, at the right margin.
  • Work closely with DSV partners and suppliers on onboarding, product selection, pricing and promotional activity.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting with range builds, new product selection, cost negotiations and setting selling prices within agreed frameworks.
  • Managing product and supplier data, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date for online and in‑store.
  • Supporting weekly trade reviews with reporting on sales, margin, availability and key lines, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Liaising with merchandising, supply chain, ecommerce and marketing to support launches, promotions and campaigns.
  • Helping to manage DSV/vendor relationships, monitoring performance and resolving day‑to‑day issues.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a retail buying function (Buying Assistant, Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer level) – multi‑product or home/garden/GM is ideal, but open on category.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, comfortable working with sales, margin and stock reports to support decision making.
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and good Excel/system skills.
