The Role
As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee three cross-functional development squads, each led by a Lead Developer who reports directly to you. Your mission is to enable these teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions while maintaining a culture of collaboration, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop three engineering squads, ensuring best practice in delivery and technical execution.
- Support and coach Lead Developers, enabling them to grow their teams and drive technical excellence.
- Collaborate with Product and other stakeholders to prioritise work, improve processes, and ensure smooth delivery.
- Champion engineering standards, code quality, and robust software development practices.
- Support the evolution of the company's PHP-based technology stack, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement across engineering - culture, practices, tooling, and communication.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy.
