We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Systems Configuration Specialist to support the configuration and optimisation of clinical systems as part of a digital healthcare programme. This is a hands-on contract role for someone who can quickly understand clinical workflows and translate them into robust system configuration. You’ll work closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant system changes that support patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and optimise clinical systems in line with defined clinical workflows
  • Translate clinical and business requirements into system build and configuration
  • Deliver system changes, enhancements, and configuration updates end-to-end
  • Support system upgrades, releases, and change cycles
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide advanced support
  • Support UAT, validation, and go-live activities
  • Maintain clear configuration documentation and change records
  • Ensure all configuration meets clinical safety, governance, and data protection standards

Required Experience

  • Demonstrable contract experience configuring clinical systems (EPR, PAS, EHR, or specialist clinical platforms)
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare delivery
  • Hands-on experience with system configuration (rules, forms, pathways, templates, etc.)
  • Experience working in fast-paced programme or project environments
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver against defined timelines
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills
  • NHS, private healthcare, or health tech programme experience
  • Familiarity with interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)

  • Contract length: Initial 3–6 months (extension likely)
