Remote with occasional UK on-site collaboration (Birmingham)
Enjoy connecting systems, automating processes and solving problems with APIs and code?
We’re working with a specialist technology consultancy looking for an Integration Developer to help businesses modernise their systems and improve how their platforms work together.
You’ll join a growing integration practice, delivering projects across different clients and industries. There’s a mix of hands‑on development, platform configuration and problem-solving, with access to senior technical mentors and support for professional certifications.
The role
You’ll build integrations across cloud and on‑premise systems, using iPaaS platforms, APIs and custom code. Workato is a key part of the role, but experience with another integration platform is welcome.
Your work will include:
- Building and maintaining Workato recipes, triggers and connectors.
- Writing scripts in Python or Ruby for integration logic, data transformation and custom connectors.
- Connecting business applications through REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks and messaging.
- Testing and troubleshooting integrations, supporting UAT and taking solutions through to go-live.
- Working with the team on technical reviews, documentation and handovers to clients.
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years’ hands‑on integration development experience.
- Experience with an iPaaS platform such as Workato, MuleSoft or Boomi.
- A good understanding of integration patterns, APIs and data formats such as JSON and XML.
- Confidence coding in at least one scripting or development language, ideally Python or Ruby.
- Experience with Git and a methodical approach to testing and debugging.
- The ability to explain technical solutions clearly to colleagues and clients.
Workato experience or certification would be a strong advantage. Exposure to platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow or HubSpot, CI/CD practices, or consultancy delivery would also be useful.
Any experience of Snaplogic would also be desirable!
What’s on offer
- Varied integration and automation projects across multiple industries.
- Remote working with occasional on‑site collaboration in the UK.
- A training budget and support for certifications, including Workato.
- Support and mentoring from senior technical colleagues.
- The opportunity to help shape a growing advisory business.
