AI Engineer – Digital Futures
Digital Futures is a new breed of technology services company building advanced AI systems for private and public sector organisations across the UK. The AI Engineer role will design, develop, and deploy AI models and intelligent systems that automate workflows and provide actionable insights for global clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, evaluate, and maintain AI and machine learning models using Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit‑learn.
- Develop and optimise ETL pipelines for large‑scale, high‑quality data ingestion and transformation.
- Deploy models as cloud‑based APIs or microservices on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Monitor models for performance degradation and implement retraining workflows.
- Ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance of AI solutions with relevant ethical and data privacy standards.
- Write clear documentation and share best practices across teams.
- Mentor peers and contribute to a culture fostering innovation and continuous learning.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience working within technology and/or data.
- Strong stakeholder management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong team leadership and management skills.
- Experience with Python programming, AI/ML frameworks, cloud platform proficiency, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, deep reinforcement), data engineering tools (Spark, Databricks), AI ethics and bias mitigation, familiarity with NLP, computer vision, generative AI, and MLOps pipelines.
