We are looking for a talented Content Writer & Digital Marketing Specialist who can combine strong writing with strategic thinking and a modern understanding of content performance.
The Role
This role goes beyond simply writing words. You will be creating content designed to increase visibility, improve impressions, and help client websites perform better in search. You will write across websites and social platforms, adapt tone of voice depending on the client, and contribute to wider marketing strategy. No two clients are the same, so curiosity, flexibility, and strong communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Writing high-quality content for client websites, including landing pages and blogs
- Creating engaging social media content that improves reach and impressions
- Optimising content for SEO to help websites get found on Google
- Supporting wider digital marketing strategies and campaign planning
- Using platforms and tools such as Meta, Canva, ChatGPT, and other AI tools to work efficiently
- Learning and applying different brand tones of voice depending on the client
- Collaborating with designers, developers and marketers across projects
- Attending team meetings and client meetings via Zoom, Teams or Google Meet
- Taking feedback on board while also showing initiative and independent thinking
What We Are Looking For (Must-Have Skills)
We want someone who takes pride in their writing and thrives as part of a team. You should have:
- Excellent writing ability and strong attention to detail
- Experience writing across multiple formats and genres
- The ability to shift tone of voice depending on client brand and audience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new industries quickly
- Confidence using Meta platforms and social media tools
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT
- A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to take ownership of work
While not essential, the following would make someone hugely successful in this role:
- A stronger understanding of SEO, including keyword research and on-page optimisation
- Experience using SEO tools such as SE Ranking, SEMrush, Ahrefs or similar
- Ability to interpret performance data (Google Analytics, Search Console, social insights)
- Copywriting experience for paid social or digital ads (Meta Ads is a bonus)
- Strong organisational skills across multiple client projects and deadlines
- Interest in digital trends and emerging tools that improve content performance
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
Hybrid role: You will be expected to attend our Newton Aycliffe office at least once per month. You will also need to be present for regular team and client meetings via Zoom or Google Meet.
