We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our IT Team. You’ll manage and evolve our core IT stack from Okta, Microsoft 365/Entra ID and Intune, to servers, networks, cloud services and R&D lab environments. You’ll drive secure, high performing systems, automate and streamline identity and access, keep our environments patched and protected, and support teams with minimal disruption. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, tightening security, shaping best practice infrastructure, and keeping cutting‑edge tech running smoothly.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (Duties)
- Manage and maintain core identity, access, and device management platforms including Okta, Microsoft 365/Entra ID, Intune, and Jamf.
- Set up and support servers, networks, user accounts, and lab/R&D environments to keep systems secure, stable, and scalable.
- Strengthen security posture through proactive patching, monitoring, incident response, and administration of tools like Microsoft Defender, Rapid7, and Automox.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents end‑to‑end, driving root‑cause analysis and implementing preventative improvements.
- Define and document best practice standards for application deployment, infrastructure management, and SharePoint governance.
- Support teams across the organisation by ensuring seamless operation of desktops, SaaS tools, networks, and workplace technology.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise as a Systems Administrator, with hands‑on experience managing modern identity, access, and device management environments.
- Strong administration experience across the Microsoft 365 stack, including Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Conditional Access, and compliance/security tooling.
- Proficiency with SharePoint Online, covering site structure, access, governance, and M365 integration.
- Solid networking knowledge, including switches, VLANs, firewalls, WiFi, cabling standards, and troubleshooting across on‑prem and cloud‑connected environments.
- Working experience with Azure, particularly in identity, security, monitoring, and resource management in a hybrid cloud setup.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Previous experience within the technology industry is desirable.
Salary: c. £45-50K (subject to experience) + bonus + competitive benefits package
