Requirements

  • You are obsessed with clarity and know that good documentation is the difference between a developer adopting a tool or abandoning it.
  • You have proven experience as a technical writer or technical writing lead, including managing writers and driving documentation strategy.
  • You have experience treating documentation as a product by tracking usage, sentiment, and success metrics like ticket deflection to prove ROI.
  • You have a strong technical aptitude and can read code and work closely with engineers to translate complex technical concepts into accessible guides.
  • You are data-driven and comfortable using tools like Google Analytics or heatmaps to identify where developers are getting stuck.
  • You have experience working in a fast-paced environment where software updates are frequent and you know how to keep docs from going stale.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
