We seek an IT Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing projects within the public sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of public sector frameworks and requirements, with good technical knowledge of Linux.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, issue logs, and progress reports.
- Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, resources, and scope, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with public sector clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations.
- Utilise your strong Linux and ITIL experience to inform project planning and execution.
- Ensure all projects adhere to Prince2 methodologies and best practices.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes within the organisation.
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a strong focus on delivering projects for public sector clients.
- Current Prince2 Practitioner or Foundation accreditation is essential.
- Solid experience and understanding of Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge and experience of ITIL frameworks and practices.
- Demonstrable experience in managing the full project lifecycle.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must live within a reasonable commutable distance to facilitate hybrid working (1-2 days in the office per week).
