We are seeking a Senior Python Developer with strong Flask experience to join a highly regarded software platform team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a dynamic environment focusing on innovation and scalability. While the role is primarily remote, the successful candidate will occasionally visit the Portsmouth headquarters for key team meetings and collaborative sessions, and therefore, you should ideally live within reasonable commuting distance of Portsmouth. Within this varied role, you will: – Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure web applications using Python and Flask. – Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes. – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of software solutions. – Optimise and maintain cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. – Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices. – Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the development lifecycle. The successful Senior Python Developer will have: – Extensive professional experience in Python development. – Proficiency with Flask – Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). – Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including deployment and management. – Familiarity with RESTful APIs, database systems (SQL/NoSQL), and version control tools (Git). – Proven ability to design scalable and maintainable solutions. – Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. – Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive mindset.
