Help grow our brand while also helping vendors & affiliates have success & scale with our platform. The Business Development Manager's primary role is to prospect for new vendors/ product owners by networking, cold calling, advertising, or other means of generating interest from potential clients. The ideal employee would be responsible for bringing new products to the Digistore24 marketplace for affiliates to promote.
Success Criteria
Our company is looking for a passionate professional that displays product knowledge with excellent collaboration skills. Ideally, candidates for this role know how to meet ambitious individual and team-wide sales goals while keeping our vendors satisfied and engaged with our products and services.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Researching new vendors/ product owners and contacting potential new vendors to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
- Plan approaches/ pitches and arrange meetings with prospective vendors
- Launch their product on the marketplace in a timely manner
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-launch support
- Work closely with the Vendor Growth Management team to ultimately hand off high volume vendors
- Forecast personal and department sales targets
- Collaborate with Director of Business Development and VP of Sales to ensure strategy aligns with overall company goals
- Keep accurate account information, potential sales opportunities, and onboarding statuses in Salesforce
- Build a thorough knowledge of the direct response industry, the solutions/ services Digistore24 provides, and the company’s competitors
- Attend industry functions such as events and conferences with the goal of onboarding new vendors
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 1-3 years of Business Development experience
- Client/ Customer service experience required
- High School diploma required, degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Marketing preferred
- Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy
