Digis seeks a skilled Senior Python Developer to join our remote team!
About the Project
The project focuses on developing and maintaining resident-facing systems for local government and social housing sectors. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the role involves building impactful digital solutions, integrating third-party applications, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance user experience.
Country and Time Zone: UK, flexible working schedule.
Stage: Established product, live stage
Project Duration: 2-3 months
Key Requirements:
- 5 years of experience with Python
- 2 years experience with Django
- Any experience with PostgreSQL and AWS
- At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, UI designers, and other engineers to define technical requirements
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, microservices, and data pipelines
- Write well-structured, testable, and readable code following the best design patterns
- Optimize APIs and database queries for performance improvements
- Participate in code reviews and debugging
- Maintain and refactor existing code to meet new feature requirements
- Design and optimize relational databases
- Write technical documentation for code, APIs, and algorithms
