About the job

Herefordshire Council are looking for fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent), with a minimum of 2 years experience in statutory social care. Confident in managing a complex caseload, with strong report writing skills and experience of taking the stand and giving oral evidence, you will be dedicated to improving the lives of children and families within Herefordshire.

Job Roles:

  • Work alongside families in improving outcomes for their children.
  • Have a restorative approach to social work, which is also evident in the team culture and senior management style.
  • Work closely with the Council's Legal Team to complete Court applications.
  • Receive support from court progression officers to ensure we meet court timescales and identify any training that may be required.
