Overall purpose of the job
Testing of professional digital mixing consoles and related products, to verify that products operate as expected.
To provide support to R&D teams and customers.
Main activities & responsibilities
The job entails audio hardware and software testing activities combined with digital mixing console usage.
Strong audio knowledge and prior experience of Di Gi Co consoles is required.
Training in console testing practices and the administration of error reporting will be provided.
You will spend your day carrying out activities on pro-audio mixing consoles to test their capabilities.
It will involve testing new features as they are developed, testing that existing features haven’t been broken as a result, testing fixes for known problems and reporting any problems you come across in the course of your tests.
The main activities and responsibilities in this role are
- Testing audio software product releases (software / firmware / hardware) by completing assigned testing-related tasks.
- Analysing problems and complete accurate reports.
- Entering faults into the defect tracking database.
- Working with development engineers to ensure problems are resolved.
- Reporting your test results through appropriate media (e. g., meetings, test reports)
- Monitoring outstanding issues and verifying resolved issues.
- Assisting in carrying out first-line fault confirmation and investigation for Customer Support
- Configuring necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing.
- Writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures.
- Assisting in the automation of relevant test procedures.
- Assisting in the continuous improvement of the product test process.
- Providing technical support on products and operating environments to internal and external customers.
- Working with engineers to replicate and correct issues reported by internal / external customers.
- Gaining in-depth experience in areas of technology, operational techniques and operating environments relevant to the testing of company products.
