Role Description
We are seeking an experienced, full time Payroll Specialist to join our team on site in Manchester. This is a hands on, end to end payroll role where you will take full ownership of the payroll function. You will be responsible for managing and delivering the complete payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance with UK legislation, and a consistently high standard of service. As the lead for payroll, you will act as the main point of contact for clients, handling queries, building strong relationships, and providing expert support. The role also involves supporting financial and tax reporting where required.
Salary: Up to £35,000 dependant on experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience running an end to end payroll function
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience using payroll software such as BrightPay, FreshPay, Xero and similar platforms
- Confident client facing skills with strong communication abilities
- Ability to take ownership and lead the payroll function independently
