Digby Group is a boutique legal search firm specialising in placing high-calibre solicitors, senior associates and partners into top-tier law firms across the UK and International. We operate in a high-trust, high-performance environment and are now seeking a part-time Legal Researcher to support candidate delivery across multiple mandates.
The Role
This is a research-driven role focused on identifying, mapping, and engaging legal talent for active recruitment projects. You will support the full delivery process by building candidate shortlists, conducting initial outreach, and maintaining structured data within our CRM. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structured research to identify lawyers within specific practice areas and locations
- Build and maintain candidate longlists and shortlists for live mandates
- Use LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, internal databases, and legal directories to source talent
- Write and send outreach messages to prospective candidates
- Screen CVs and assess suitability against role specifications
- Update CRM systems and track all research activity
- Prepare candidate briefing notes and summaries
- Support market mapping projects and competitive landscape research
- Collaborate directly with the Managing Director on delivery priorities
