At Difrent, we have an ambitious growth plan that will see us delivering cutting edge digital services to our Healthcare, Government and Corporate clients. Due to our on-going success, we’re now looking for a proactive and experienced Automation Tester (SDET) ideally with previous experience of working in the government digital service space, to join us at our new development centre in Newcastle.

In this role, you'll interact with our clients on one or more agile projects, typically to help deliver a specific product via a multidisciplinary, highly skilled digital team. You'll be adept at working within complex digital projects.

Automation Tester - Essential Skills
  • A passion for Agile methodologies
  • Functional and integration testing experience of web technology back-end systems
  • Building and maintaining test scripts using an automation test tool including BDD/TDD techniques
  • Selenium, Webdriver or similar 2+ years
  • Cucumber or similar 2+ years
  • Intermediate Java capability
  • Demonstrable knowledge of API structures, XML, JSON, or similar 2+ years
  • Browser developer tools 2+ years
  • GIT 1+ year
  • Preparing test data and test estimates
  • PageFactory and Page Object Model experience
  • Familiarity with web service clients (either creating or using) in Java code
Automation Tester - Desirable Skills
  • Understanding of CI server Jenkins or similar
  • Understanding of accessibility testing
  • Use of Performance testing tools like Jmeter or Gatling
  • Unit Testing
