A&P Falmouth – Pipefitters
Home to one of the world’s largest natural deep-water harbours, A&P Falmouth’s facility is one of the largest ship-repair complexes in the UK.
We are looking for Pipefitters to join our busy and talented team. If you have previous experience as a Pipefitter and enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced setting, we’d love to hear from you.
So, what will you do?
- Install, repair and maintain piping systems onboard ships according to engineering specifications
- Fabrication and assemble pipes using specialised tools and techniques
- Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure integrity and safety of pipework installations and repair
- Prepare work areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment
And what are we looking for?
- A Level 3 apprenticeship in pipefitting or equivalent would be desirable
- Previous experience in a shipbuilding/marine/heavy industrial environment would be advantageous
- You’ll need the ability to understand technical drawings
- You\’ll be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- You\’ll be absolutely committed to ensuring health and safety in your work
- You\’ll have excellent teamwork and communication skills
