You lead the night team, you're trusted with medication, and residents and families rely on you to keep things calm, safe, and dignified until morning.
It's a role with real autonomy, right for someone who's ready to lead, not just assist.
- What you'll be doing
- Leading the night team and being the senior point of contact when the Deputy or Registered Manager isn't on site
- Taking responsibility for medication administration and related procedures
- Making sound, calm decisions when something unexpected comes up, and knowing when to escalation
- Delivering clear, accurate handovers so day staff pick up seamlessly
- Keeping records accurate and up to date ie incidents, concerns, changes in need
- Supporting your team so residents get warm, person-centred care through the night, not just supervision
- What you'll bring
- Previous experience in a Senior Care Assistant -Team Leader role, confident leading by example
- Strong medication management knowledge, or willingness to complete training
- Comfortable working independently and using your own judgement
- Clear communicator with residents, colleagues, and external professionals (GPs, district nurses, families)
- NVQ/vocational Level 2 in Health & Social Care (achieved), working towards Level 3
