Responsibilities

  • Conduct mechanical assessments on GCU vehicles and plant to determine repair needs, damages, and required parts.
  • Perform repairs and servicing on GCU-owned vehicles and plant, completing garage repair, service sheets, and defect rectifications.
  • Carry out function tests on plant equipment before issuing it to teams and manage the GCU Workshop Tagging System for proper storage and quarantine.
  • Ensure the safe use of workshop tools and chemicals, maintain workshop security and tools at the end of each shift.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a relevant fitter or technician role.
  • Proficient in workshop health and safety practices, able to work independently, manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in using computer systems for accurate record-keeping.
