Location: Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home in Canvey Island, Essex
Contracted hours: 22-44 hours, mixture of day and night shifts, every other weekend free as applicable.
Hourly rate: From £13.50
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will be part of an exceptionally supportive team, providing outstanding physical, emotional, and social assistance to the people living at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home. We are currently looking for a positive and motivated individual who is deeply passionate about caring for the elderly and has a genuine drive to manage a care team responsible for residents, their families, and visitors.
Nellsar is committed to developing and training its staff to ensure high-quality care, and the successful candidate will receive ongoing training and development with opportunities for progression within the company, including apprenticeships.
Responsibilities
- Providing leadership to the care staff within the service.
- Providing care in accordance with current best practices, policies, procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the manager.
- Carrying out and supervising the care services within the organisation in accordance with agreed standards.
- Maintaining skills at a current level, and undertaking such training and development as may be required to keep practices up to date.
- Supervising staff and ensuring that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
- Supporting effective communication with residents’ families, friends, advocates or representatives around all aspects of care and wellbeing.
