Job Vacancy: Weekend Receptionist / Office Assistant

Location: St Winifreds Care Home, 236 London Road, Deal Kent CT14 9PP

Contracted hours: Saturday & Sunday 9am - 4pm. Work flexibility in accordance with your availability and the service requirements.

Hourly rate of pay: £12.50

About the Role

We are looking for a warm, organised, and professional Receptionist / Office Assistant to be the welcoming face of our care home. This front-of-house role ensures visitors, residents, and team members receive exceptional customer service while supporting smooth administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front-of-House & Customer Service: Greet all visitors professionally and ensure they complete the sign-in process. Handle incoming calls and enquiries efficiently. Maintain a tidy, safe, and welcoming reception area.
  • Administrative Support: Process incoming and outgoing mail. Photocopying, filing, and general administrative duties. Support internal teams including BSO, Recruitment, and Management. Maintain organised filing systems, including archiving. Show prospective residents and families around the home.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow confidentiality, data protection, and infection control procedures. Report accidents, equipment faults, and safety concerns. Support Health & Safety, safeguarding, and whistleblowing policies.
  • Teamwork & Professionalism: Build positive relationships with residents, visitors, and staff. Attend meetings, training, and appraisals. Seek opportunities for development.
