Location: St Winifreds Care Home in Deal, Kent

Contracted hours: 40 hours (includes every other weekend off)

Hourly rate of pay: From £13

As Activities Coordinator, you will enjoy being part of an exceptionally supportive team, welcoming you into providing outstanding physical, emotional, and social assistance to the people living at St Winifreds Care Home.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that residents are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are taken into consideration to enhance their wellbeing.
  • Organising and planning weekly activity programmes within the allocated budget, reflecting residents’ preferences, and producing a written rota.
  • Updating activity boards around the home.
  • Creating risk assessments for activities and consent forms for families and residents.
  • Producing newsletters to inform residents and their relatives/friends about activities, and liaising with the Marketing team to produce information for newsletters.
  • Supporting residents to access the internet and other communication methods such as letter writing, Skype and FaceTime.
  • Maintaining skills at a current level and undertaking required training and development to maintain and progress knowledge.
