Job vacancy: Healthcare Assistant Days

Location: The Old Downs Residential Care Home in Dartford, Kent DA3 7BH

Contracted hours: 33 hours (3 shifts over a 7 day rota, to include every other weekend)

Rate of pay: £13.00 hourly

As a Healthcare Assistant at Nellsar Care Homes, you will be part of an exceptionally supportive team, providing outstanding physical, emotional, and social assistance to the people living at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.

Nellsar is committed to developing and training staff to ensure high quality care is provided. The successful candidate will receive ongoing training and development with opportunities for progression, including apprenticeships.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that residents are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are considered to enhance their wellbeing.
  • Ensuring care plans, assessments and risk assessments and other care documentation are in place and followed accordingly.
  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of residents.
  • Maintaining residents’ independence, privacy, and dignity.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all care given in our software package (handheld devices).
  • Ensuring infection control procedures are always adhered to.
