We are seeking an ambitious and talented Product Manager to join our growing team and help us change the lives of more dogs by driving product development and innovation as we rapidly scale. This role will be involved in managing our customer-facing website as well as internal projects within the business, working closely with leadership to shape strategic direction and coordinate cross-functional delivery.
Role Responsibilities- Develop and execute product strategies aligned with company goals and customer needs, with particular focus on conversion optimisation and customer retention.
- Lead the product roadmap for the Different Dog website, sign-up flows, checkout experience, and account management features.
- Manage internal projects including operations systems (scanner systems, stock management).
- Drive data-driven decision making through analytics, user research, and A/B testing frameworks.
- Coordinate across Tech, Marketing, Customer Delight, Operations, and senior leadership to define and prioritise product features and improvements.
- Manage external contractors and agencies (UX designers, developers, brand agencies) to deliver strategic initiatives within budget.
- Present product strategy updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead agile development processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.
- Gather and analyse user feedback, usage data, Zendesk tickets, and market trends to inform product decisions.
- Define and track key product metrics and KPIs (conversion rates, NPS, accessibility scores, user testing completion).
- Implement tracking infrastructure to measure feature usage and impact.
- Create and maintain user stories and product requirements documents.
- Define definition of ready and definition of done for all product work.
- Own QA processes and acceptance criteria.
- Build and maintain product documentation including roadmaps, process templates, and strategic plans.
- Manage UX/Design team members, conducting performance reviews and setting objectives.
- Coordinate team workload and capacity planning.
- Provide mentorship and career development guidance.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a product-focused role with demonstrated progression and ownership.
- Strong track record in Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) and data-driven product improvement.
- Experience managing direct reports and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of web technologies and digital product development (experience with Next.js, A/B testing platforms, and modern web stacks preferred).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and ability to refine processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
- Working understanding of UX/UI design principles and accessibility standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis and relevant tools (analytics platforms, user testing tools).
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Linear, Jira, Notion).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Must be UK-based with the right to work in the UK.
- Strategic thinker who can balance long-term vision with immediate execution needs.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously in a scale-up environment with changing priorities.
