We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Part-Time Receptionist to join our wonderful team at our North West London office. Working every weekday afternoon, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and callers, ensuring a warm and efficient front-of-house experience. This is an ideal role for someone looking for consistent part-time, permanent afternoon hours in a supportive and professional working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate person or department.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls, taking accurate messages where necessary.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy, presentable, and well-stocked with necessary materials (e.g. visitor badges, brochures).
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, and courier services during the afternoon shift.
  • Schedule and manage meeting room bookings, ensuring rooms are prepared and ready for use.
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider team, including data entry, filing, photocopying, and scanning.
  • Maintain visitor logs and ensure compliance with building security and health & safety procedures.
  • Assist with ad hoc office duties as required, such as ordering supplies or coordinating with facilities and maintenance teams.
  • Manage access control and issue visitor passes in accordance with company policy.
  • Support the team with diary management and coordination of appointments where needed.

Person Specification / Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, or customer-facing role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Professional and welcoming telephone manner.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable using office equipment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the set afternoon hours (Monday to Friday, 13:15 PM - 18:00 PM).
  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
