Experienced Diesel Mechanic - $30/HR

East Providence, Rhode Island

Hourly Pay: $25 – $35 per hour based on experience

Average Earnings: Our mechanics average between $1,000 – $1,400 per week

Position Details: This is a full-time position – 40 hours per week – overtime is possible

Overtime Pay: Time and a half

Work Schedule: No weekends typically (unless required by company demand)

Work Environment: Heated and cooled shop that is well-ventilated and very clean

Diesel Direct is Hiring Diesel Mechanics

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience
• A CDL and hazmat endorsement is preferred, but not required
• Must have your own tools and be able to weld equipment as needed
• Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing repairs and maintenance on equipment
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work meets the manufacturer\’s specifications and legislated regulations
• The ability to work alone or as a team
