We are looking for a motivated Junior Service Technician to join our service team. This is an excellent entry‑level opportunity for someone keen to build a hands‑on technical career, as no previous experience in our industry is required. Full training will be provided. The successful candidate will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer sites, working alongside experienced technicians to learn best practices and develop practical skills. We’re seeking someone with a positive attitude, good problem‑solving ability, and a willingness to learn, who can deliver a high standard of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Gain familiarity with Field Service Technician practices and procedures.
- Participate in assigned hardware and software trainings (on the job, classroom and web based).
- Utilize Diebold Nixdorf’s diagnostic tools to perform troubleshooting.
- Perform hardware repairs and maintenance.
- Clean, adjust, and configure components.
- Configure and install applicable software.
- Perform routine checks according to documented procedures.
- Instruct and train customers on usage and operation of installed hardware and software.
- Participate in the implementation of measures to achieve agreed KPIs.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education or equivalent work experience required.
- Ideally have worked providing one of the following IT, EPOS, Break Fix, Customer Support.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Full, clean UK driver’s license required.
